Clare Murphy Shaw
Abogado Gerente de ACKC

Clare se unió al McCrummen Immigration Law Group en 2017 como abogada asociada. Su práctica se centra principalmente en las solicitudes de base humanitaria, incluido el asilo. También gestiona el contrato de las empresas para representar a los niños en los Estados Unidos sin un padre o tutor y que se enfrentan a la deportación. Clare tiene una amplia experiencia en el trabajo sin fines de lucro, incluida la obtención del estado 501 (c) (3) exento de impuestos, redacción de estatutos y el establecimiento de juntas. Es una exitosa escritora de subvenciones y ha presentado subvenciones para un amplio alcance de organizaciones comunitarias. Clare se graduó en 2005 de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Missouri-Columbia y habla español con fluidez.

Kathy Barron
Asistente de programa ACKC

Kathy se unió a McCrummen Immigration Law Group y ACKC en 2018 justo después de graduarse de la Universidad Estatal de Kansas. Ella es responsable de las comunicaciones con el cliente, la logística del programa, la presentación de informes de subvenciones y la presentación de evaluaciones legales y presentaciones de "Conozca Sus Derechos" semanales como parte del Programa de Asistencia a Menores (UC). Aunque Kathy ha vivido en el área de Kansas City la mayor parte de su vida, su familia es nativa de León, Guanajuato, México. Kathy tiene una licenciatura en Estudios de Género, Mujeres y Sexualidad y Estudios Étnicos Americanos y es hispanohablante nativa.

Leah Lewsader
ACKC Associate Attorney

Leah joined the McCrummen Immigration Law group in 2021 as an associate attorney. Practicing primarily humanitarian-based immigration, her clients include asylum seekers, survivors of human trafficking, and unaccompanied children facing deportation. Prior to her legal career, Leah was an elementary school teacher. Leah is a 2021 graduate of The University of Kansas School of Law and is fluent in Spanish.

Susie Ancona
ACKC Support Services Coordinator

Susie joined McCrummen Immigration Law Group and ACKC in October 2021 as Support Services Coordinator, bringing with her, experience in bilingual service coordination and advocacy for immigrant, refugee, and other under-resourced communities in Kansas City and Texas. She is responsible for assessing client needs, connecting clients to services and resources, and supporting clients through legal and service-related processes. Susie earned a B.A. in Spanish & Hispanic Studies and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Texas Christian University in 2014, with additional training in child development and trauma-informed care modalities. Outside of work, Susie is an avid grocery shopper and enjoys yoga, traveling, and quality time connecting with family, friends, & community.

Karina Dominguez Gutierrez
ACKC Program Assistant

Karina joined McCrummen Immigration Law Group and ACKC in May 2021 as the new Program Assistant. She is responsible for client communications and direct services, as well as presenting weekly Know Your Rights (KYR) presentations and legal screenings as part of the UC Program. Karina has lived in Kansas City most of her life, graduating for JC Harmon and attending Kansas City Community College. She and her family are native to Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and she is a native Spanish-speaker.
